Dubai July 28 2023:

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) announced the extension of the Cancellation of Fines and Exemption of Financial Penalties Initiative until 31 December 2023. ZATCA stated that the extension of the initiative, which was previously slated to end on May 31, 2023, is now extended from 1 June 2023 until 31 December 2023.

According to authority, the initiative exempts taxpayers from fines for late registration in all tax laws, delayed payments, overdue tax return filing in all tax laws, value-added tax (VAT) return correction, and field detection of violations of e-invoicing and VAT.

ZATCA urged all taxpayers to benefit from the initiative until the end of the extension term, and to contact the authority with any inquiries.
